Hi, There have been issues in regards to GPS and compass in early versions of arducopter 4.0. see also: ardupilot/ReleaseNotes.txt at Copter-4.0 · ArduPilot/ardupilot · GitHub. My understanding is that improvements have been made in 4.0.4 and further in 4.0.5.
I am using Here3 with Cube Orange running on Arducopter 4.2. I cant get GPS fix, lock. Mp shows no satellites found. But when i go under DroneCAN inspector i can see it being connected to 15 sats with the all coordinati…
mission planner shows a gps no fix sign. No Fix say a GPS is detected, but position is not. As GPS chip is on the Navio2, even without good GPS signal, the No Fix msg is the minimum. You have to check the seating of the GPS antenna plug:
GPS signal is very weak. Like trying to see a single 40W light bulb from space ! So in order to make it work well it is important to. a) keep antenna away from any source of interference (best to avoid all other electronics and even the main wiring as it also will create a magnetic field during flight)
for 1. I don't believe this is the best scenario. As Bad GPS Health is to do with hdop and sat count, and does not fit under the 3d fix/no fix solution. 2a. I will see if I can add individual sensor health output.
An RTCM corrections stream is available to Mission Planner on the computer (Base Station or NTRIP) Pixhawk 4 and the AsteRx receiver have been set up and are communicating. To receive corrections from a base station, go to Initial Setup > RTK/GPS Inject and select the option to receive corrections. It is possible to receive corrections via COM
This is the new APM 2.8 module. The sensors are exactly the same as with APM2.6, this version is ideal for use with multi-copters and rovers.
This section of Mission Planner, invoked by the Menu item CONFIG at the top of Mission Planner, has several subsections. The subsection are where you configure the parameters that control how your autopilot controls your vehicle. Tuning refers to adjusting parameters in the control loops so your vehicle behaves the way you desire.
I would like to know how to display the current GCS location when it has a GPS attached. a) The GPS may be installed to provide RTK corrections for fixed or moving baseline, or. b) it may just be a USB GPS installed to provide the GCS location for visualisation, or. c) it may be installed for “Follow Me” functionality, accessed via the
Steel no gps lock. Can't get help on what needs to be dun on the gps. lock. I wont fly until I get a gps lock. Some say to set the HDOP to 250 to get a gps lock. I don't know what the HDOP is in Mission Planer, so have not tried it. Sorry I cant be more help.
Waypoint Mission Planner can add up to 99 waypoints by default. The first two waypoints set will be your start and end positions. With the increase of waypoints, the end position will gradually move back. It can also be adjusted by yourself, marking S point and E point. At the same time, the pilot can also edit an individual waypoint.
Mission Planner is showing ‘NO FIX’, so I’m assuming the GPS is communicating just fine with the Cube Black. I have tried configuring it with CAN, and I am getting the same result. I just want to confirm if I have a dead GPS, because it was working fine couple months ago. Please let me know if you guys need further information. Thanks again!
TOIA.
